– 2016 Honda FourTrax Foreman 500 –
Honda experiments with different colors on their ATV model lineup every couple of years. It’s to mix things up so they don’t become too stale with the standard red, green (olive), camo.
They have played around with orange on the Rancher 420 for the last couple of years and it has continued to be one of our #1 sellers. Honda hasn’t done orange on the Foreman 500 in the last 10 years though, so it was a welcomed change-up for 2016.
Unlike the TRX420 Rancher, you can get the orange Foreman in all of the 2016 models: TRX500FM1G / TRX500FM2G / TRX500FE1G / TRX500FE2G. When Honda did orange on the Rancher, you could only get it on select models: TRX420FA1 / TRX420FA2 / TRX420FA5 / TRX420FA6. That didn’t fly over well as I had a lot of customers that wanted their TRX420FE1 / TRX420FM1 / TRX420FM2 Ranchers in orange but it was a no-go. Well, unless you bought the plastic fenders and fuel tank cover for your Rancher 420 and swapped them over.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of the orange and think it should be available on all models. It looks good with any color of wheels that you go with for your ATV and also helps it stand out in the trails so people can see you more clearly. If you’re a hunter, then clearly orange isn’t the best color to help you hide.
