Honda Motor Europe is pleased to confirm the production of a new breed of motorcycle for the 2017 sales season: the ‘X-ADV’.

Based on the City Adventure concept machine displayed at EICMA show in Milan in 2015, the X-ADV combines the spirit of adventure with all-round performance, practicality and comfort for urban commuting and weekend escapes.

Features include an upright riding position for high visibility and long travel suspension to handle the roughest road surfaces. At the same time, the X-ADV offers the practicality of a 5 stage adjustable windscreen and storage space for an off-road style helmet.

The X-ADV continues Honda’s long tradition of finding new ways to create products that enhance and enrich its customers’ lifestyles. In keeping with its innovative concept, the X-ADV will come with Honda’s unique Dual Clutch Transmission – and the spirit of adventure – as standard fitment.

2017 Honda X-ADV Release Date… The X-ADV will be shown to the public for the first time at the EICMA show in Milan, from 8th to 13th November 2016. Detailed technical specifications for the 2017 Honda X-ADVwill also be available at this time.

Will the 2017 Honda X-ADV be released to us in the USA?

That big question has yet to be answered at this time. At the moment, it looks like that will be a no-go but we’ll know more once we get to the official unveiling of the bike and all of its specs etc at the 2016 EICMA show. Do you want to see it come to the USA?

  1. I wonder if it will be available in the USA? Storage capacity? MPG? Weight? I hope it’s priced about the same as the Honda NC700x. Would be a nice alternative.

    • I talk a little more about the X-ADV and my opinions etc on it coming to the USA in the latest video here: https://www.hondaprokevin.com/motorcycle-news-2017-cbr1000rr-ken-roczen-honda-racing-hrc-x-adv-scooter

I think one big determining factor on whether or not we see the X-ADV in the USA for 2017 or even 2018 will be which engine they decide to use and if it’s the 750cc engine used overseas in their NC750X, NC750S, NM4 or if they use the 700 engine in our NC700X, CTX700, CTX700N, NM4 etc. If they use the 750cc engine in the X-ADV which they more than likely will then our odds are slim on getting it here on our side of the pond as Honda has yet to bring that engine over here in any of our models and if they do this then they’ll have / need to put that engine in our other models too otherwise they’ll cannibalize them sales wise as everyone will hold off on buying the others thinking Honda will throw that engine in them the following year. It’s gojng to be interesting to see how it all pans out though…

Thanks for checking out my site and for posting up too. Appreciate it!

      • I really hope it’s released here. Would make for a pretty awesome urban assault vehicle in places like NYC, Philly, and Baltimore. The roads out here are pretty beat; and gridlock is a fact of life, especially here in NYC. I really wish that Honda would roll out more aggressive scooter options in US center cities.

I’m itching for the DCT NC700x because my entire commute is stop-and-go traffic/lane splitting (currently on a cb300f), but would love other options. I would definitely consider the X-ADV as a commuter.

        And great site!

      • Just for kicks i’d like to see somebody put a 1000cc engine in there. 🙂
