UPDATE | 2019 / 2020 Honda TALON Sport Side by Side Release Date: November 27, 2018!
Another big piece of news you may have missed out on comes in the way of sport side by side / UTV models and Honda. The name Honda and sport SxS models have been two words you couldn’t use together in the same sentence as since Honda’s introduction into the side by side market has been nothing but utility based UTV models since day one like the Big Red in 2009 to the current Pioneer lineup that was originally released in 2014. That has all changed now thanks to the 2019 / 2020 Honda TALON 1000 sport side by side being leaked! We’ve covered the new TALON for years now with new patent documents and copyright claims etc but this is the first time we’ve gotten a chance to physically see what Honda has been working so hard on for quite a few years now. 2019 Honda Pioneer 500
The Pioneer 500 2-seater side by side makes its return for 2019 with the welcoming addition of changes in the way of new colors. The color options you had in 2018 were a little lacking with only Red, Olive and Phantom Camo to choose from. Those colors will stick around on the 2019 Pioneer 500 but now we have two new colors: Vapor White, Active Yellow.

2019 Honda Pioneer 700
The Pioneer 700 returns for 2019 with some color changes in the mix but this time around it’s actually losing color options. The 2019 Pioneer 700 loses red as an option and now you only have Olive green.

2019 Honda Pioneer 700 Deluxe
Just like the “base” model Pioneer 700 above, the 2019 Pioneer 700 Deluxe sees changes coming in the way of color options. Last year you only had Matte Gray Metallic to choose from but thankfully this year Phantom Camo makes a return as well as a color you might be familiar with and that is Pearl Orange. Pearl Orange was originally introduced in 2018 on the Pioneer 700-4 Deluxe.

Unlike the “base” model 2019 Pioneer 700-4, the 2019 Pioneer 700-4 Deluxe does see a change this year in the way of color options like some of the others we’ve already covered. Last year you had Phantom Camo and Pearl Orange to choose from, for 2019 Phantom Camo returns but we also get Diver Blue which is new to this model but has been used in the past so you may be familiar with it (used on 2018 Pioneer 700 Deluxe).

The 2019 Pioneer 1000 EPS does bring in a new color that you first saw last year on the Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe and the year before in some of Honda’s ATV models and that is the addition of Active Yellow as a color option paired up with Red and Phantom Camo which are carryovers.

There’s no mechanical changes but you do have a new color to choose from, instead of the Matte Gray Metallic like you’ve had for the last two years you now have Matte Silver.

The most popular of the 1000cc Pioneer models, the 2019 Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe returns with a new color option to replace the Active Yellow that Honda brought to the table last year. The 2019 Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe will be the first of the Pioneer models to be offered in Black.

Honda’s mixing it up with Matte Silver and keeping it an exclusive color for the Pioneer models and only offering it on either of the LE / Limited Edition Pioneer 1000 & Pioneer 1000-5 models.
