– First Look: New 2025 Honda GROM Changes! USA / Europe SNEAK PEEK… –

Today, we’re going to take a look at what will be our new 2025 Honda GROM 125 motorcycle here in the USA, Europe and other countries around the world!

Now, you may be asking: “Honda hasn’t “officially” released the 2025 Grom… so what are you talking about, Kevin?”

Yes, Honda hasn’t officially announced it yet but as I’ve told you guys many times over the years – things trickle down to us and the majority of the time, we’re not the first to see them here in the USA and looking at things around the world, a lot of the time will give us a sneak peek look at what’s coming down the pipeline with new motorcycles. For example, Thailand saw the Grom for the 2013 model year but we didn’t see it in the USA until the 2014 model year. When the Grom (also known as the MSX125) was redesigned, we didn’t see the updated SF version until 2017 – when Thailand saw it in 2016. Fast forward to the latest generation and we didn’t see the updated Grom until the 2022 model year, while Thailand saw it in 2021.

Now, to today… We already have our 2024 Honda Grom 125 here in the USA and it’s the same as the 2022 / 2023 model year for us, aside from color changes. The big news here though is that Honda of Thailand just released their 2024 Grom 125 and it’s DIFFERENT!

So, if we put two and two together… what does that mean if we look at the past? Yup, it means that our 2025 Honda Grom 125 here in the USA will receive the same changes / updates that the Thai spec 2024 model just received!

What changes will we see on the 2025 Honda Grom?

The first change to the 2025 Grom is the addition of a new belly pan! Which is something that a lot of us Grom owners have had to go aftermarket on, so I think this is going to make a lot of people happy as it’ll be something that older Grom owners can buy to install on theirs, while not having to worry about fitment issues.

The next round of 2025 Grom 125 changes comes in the way of the plastics / fairings being redesigned. They’ve gone away from the circular washer and bolt setup as well to better flow with the plastic changes. *Pictured below, what will be our US spec 2025 Grom (top) and our 2024 Grom (bottom).

The 2025 Honda Grom will have a different headlight shroud too when compared to the last generation, while keeping the same the headlight assembly. *Pictured below, what will be our US spec 2025 Grom (top) and our 2024 Grom (bottom).

Now, the big question is… Did Honda change the engine for more performance and horsepower on the 2025 Grom? Sadly… it doesn’t look like they did. The engine looks identical as does the frame, seat, gauges, suspension, brakes, wheels etc. However, I haven’t been able to find the detailed spec sheet for this model that’ll tell us if the 2025 Honda Grom 125 horsepower / torque numbers are identical to the 2024 or if Honda may have made some internal changes to improve its performance. I wouldn’t hold my breathe though as if I were a betting man, I’d say it’s tune is identical but I’ll keep you guys updated on that front.
