– NEW 2021 CRF250L Changes / Honda’s 250cc Dual Sport Motorcycle –

Say hello to the new 2021 Honda CRF250L & CRF250 Rally with both having new changes thrown their way! Honda of Japan just announced the new 2021 Honda CRF250L and we have some interesting things to talk about… (this page will be getting more updates today)

Are we going to be getting two different 2021 CRF250L models in the USA, like Japan?  They are offering a CRF250L with a 32.6 inch seat height and a CRF250L S model with a 34.6 inch seat height. For reference, the 2020 CRF250L has a seat height of 34.4 inches. If that’s the case, it’ll open up this bike to a lot more riders! The top picture below is of the 2021 CRF250L S model with the taller seat height and then below it is the ‘standard’ 2021 CRF250L version with the lower seat height. 2021 Honda CRF250L Review / Specs + New Changes Explained | CRF 250 cc Dual Sport Motorcycle / Dirt Bike

Aside from that news, what else do we know about it? Honda kept the same 249cc cooled 4-stroke DOHC single cylinder engine but with a newly designed air cleaner / exhaust pipe / muffler and optimized the ignition timing, aiming for controllable engine characteristics that react strongly linearly from the low rpm range. Furthermore, by changing the valve timing, the output and torque are improved in the low and medium rpms. It also has a new assist slipper clutch, larger gauges and some design tweaks here and there.

When it comes to the new 2021 CRF250L frame / chassis, Honda also went to work by putting it on a diet – to the tune of 8.8 lbs lighter than the outgoing CRF250L.

The CRF250L now comes standard with ABS and thankfully you can turn it off in the rear with the simple push of a button.

You also have a new gauge cluster / display on the 2021 CRF250L now with a gear position indicator, offering more information than ever.

At the time of writing this, this new 2021 CRF250L or the 2021 CRF300L has not been “officially” announced for the USA. More details on that very, very soon though…
