Honda holds the record for the longest UTV wheelie in the Guinness Book of World Records!
Have you ever wondered what the Guinness World Record was for the longest Side by Side / UTV wheelie? If you answered – “Nope”. My answer was exactly the same haha. It’s not something that has ever, ever, not even in the slightest bit crossed my mind but thanks to the wonderful world of YouTube and “Recommended for you” videos I stumbled across this gem.
“The longest UTV wheelie measured 1140.3 m (3741.1 ft) and was achieved by Roger LeBlanc (Canada) at Moncton International Airport in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, on 23 August 2014. Roger’s record-breaking wheelie was achieved on a Honda 700 Pioneer UTV, whilst carrying four fearless passengers: Jeff Gallant, Gilles Dupuis, Paul Arsenault and Martin Phinney.”
I know many will say it’s ‘cheating’ etc with the guys standing on the back but heck we’re talking about 30 horsepower and the Pioneer 700-4 tips the scales in excess of 1,000 lbs so she’s a big girl. With that kind of power-to-weight ratio, she’s gonna need some assistance to lift the front up. The guys that were involved in this stunt said they could have kept it going for a lot longer but the people organizing the event said they had to put the nose down once they hit the marker at the F15 jet.
