– New Honda Grom Motorcycle = Best Mini Bike over the Monkey 125, Trail CT 125, Dax & Super Cub? –
Today, we’re going to take a deep-dive into the new Honda Grom 125 motorcycle and see what all the hype is about this mini bike and why so many people are flocking to buy this 166 mile per gallon “toy”, as some people call it.
Yes, being the cheapest “real” motorcycle you can buy from Honda that’s street legal, definitely helps but it’s not all about the price tag with the Grom. Before we go any further though, the reason I say “real motorcycle” is because the NAVi is cheaper, but it’s a scooter with an automatic CVT transmission, like 99% of Hondas scooters and the Grom has a clutch with a 5-speed transmission, like a “standard” motorcycle so-to-say. The Grom was originally launched in 2013 and has without a doubt, taken the world by storm and re-energized the whole mini bike scene but on a world-wide scale. Sadly, they’re not as cheap as they were a decade ago when it released at $2,999 BUT it’s still a bargain, at only $3,499. Like I said though, it’s not all about pricing when it comes to the popularity of the new Grom and its siblings like the Monkey 125, Dax 125, Trail 125, also known as the CT125 and Hunter Cub around the world as well as the Super Cub 125.
