It was only a matter of time before a photographer caught the All New 2016 Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin in action on public streets. Like all manufacturers when they put either a prototype or model that hasn’t technically been released to the public, they will plaster it with anything imaginable to try and hide it’s true exterior look. Most of the time it is done like pictured above and it will have a form of camo covering it’s plastic.

The spy shots of the 2016 Africa Twin do show a few accessories that Honda is working on and testing as well. The picture shows saddlebags also referred to as panniers outfitted on the CRF1000L as well as a trunk for added storage when taking those long trips on the Africa Twin. The windscreen / windshield on the Africa Twin appears to be a little bit taller than the standard option on the release pictures as well as from the patent pictures.

Honda refers to their parts & accessories as Honda Genuine Accessories and by far trump 99% of aftermarket accessory options available for Honda’s motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, scooter models. You get Honda’s typical fitment and quality as well as carrying a warranty too. It’s good to see Honda is already working on the accessory lineup for the 2016 Africa Twin and that it won’t be an afterthought.

Honda said to us dealers they will release all of the specs and detailed pictures etc in quarter 3 of 2015. Thankfully that isn’t too far away as people are salivating – wanting to know the detailed specs and info on the 2016 Africa Twin CRF1000L.
The 2016 Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin still has a scheduled Release Date for the USA at the beginning of 2016. Hopefully there are no delays… Keep an eye on here for updates on the Africa Twin as soon as Honda releases the info to dealers.
